Adoptions and Rescues
Taking personal responsibility for something that concerns us, such as the issue of dogs in the street, brings us much closer to the solution, because instead of separating forces, we will unite them.
Although this problem takes years, it does have a solution. We must find new ways to educate the people.
“My biggest dreams are to achieve real and tangible changes, beyond a few posts on social networks, beyond any apparent benefit that this brings to those of us who do this work.”
Why did I say in the first post that in Cachorros RD we give main importance to the human being, then to the pets? It is because in our DNA is human service based on good treatment, sincerity, warmth, empathy and understanding of each situation. Once we connect with those who want to acquire a pet, we can better help them to have the type of pet they need, this positive energy then transforms into a good human-pet relationship. A small puppy that has already left his mother's womb needs only one thing: love. An educated human being with good habits will cover this need in your pet in a magnificent way. From love stems the concern that the puppy be fed on time, that the necessary time be dedicated to play, talk with him and identify with his new family or owner. It is impossible for a puppy to have a good life if we don't focus on improving ourselves as human beings and truly understanding that a pet is a being, not an accessory. He is someone who changes us and provides a happiness that nothing in the world can buy.
Based on this, I can assure you that I have understood convincingly that we as a species are in charge of giving each other love and helping each other first. A mentally healthy human being due to his behavior and his relationships is what promises a pet to have a good development. If you have ever heard that dogs look like their owners, it is more true than you imagine. The issue has many backgrounds and as a society we have been adopting measures for this, however, as always, there are extremes that harm us as a species and therefore those who depend on us. That is when you can stop and decide to go up to see the situation from another perspective, you will realize that we are attacking each other, not the problem.
Let's be clear, the problems of stray dogs are caused by the lack of education that exists in our system as a country. But we win zero battles when we attack those who have been doing it wrong for a lifetime, because it is not a new act, in the end violence never generates positive changes, at least in this field it never has. A person who does not have love for himself will never treat street dogs with love, moreover, he considers it a stupid subject. On the other hand, a person who intends to mistreat other human beings for their "love of animals" is not even proving to have any education, much less manage to inspire a population to change. Let's change the discourse and reason how this directly affects our lives and we will achieve much more. With force it is possible to bend a person, but with kindness a people can be made aware.
I believe in intelligent methods to change many things. I am willing to collaborate with true education to change that situation in the Dominican Republic, and hopefully we don't have to attack each other for the simple fact of wanting to achieve such a noble goal as improving as a country, and then bring that improvement to our streets, to our dogs. And although we think of the most developed countries to create laws, we must do it ourselves, in our own way and knowing ourselves as a people, we know who we are. That will accomplish more than using insults or violence to rescue, vaccinate, sterilize, or form support groups. Those who do not understand should be led by example and pray that one day they may know that their lives are connected to their deeds. Everything we do, good or bad, comes back to us sooner or later.
And we are already waiting for the speeches of the most pessimistic saying that it is a utopia, that it will never be achieved or that everything will remain in plans and meetings. But I am one of those who prefers to do something and not hide behind a keyboard to knock down ideas or prove that I was right with my negative projections disguised as realistic. Honestly, I have never seen someone very "normal" or lacking in daring achieve anything important. That noise will always exist, but it is up to us whether we will be part of the problem or we will be one of those who do something.
My biggest dreams are to achieve real and tangible changes, beyond a few posts on social networks, beyond any apparent benefit that this brings to those of us who do this work. My country hurts me and because of that deep love I have for the land where
